Here is the start of a collection of photographs taken around the North East of England. (Please be patient while the pictures load...) ![]() The upper Tees valley has some magnificent scenery, and this cascade - Cauldron Snout - below the Cow Green reservoir is worth the modest walk for the experience. The sound of rushing water, the absence of people, the openness of the landscape all need time to appreciate. ![]() Above Cauldron Snout, this is the view near the Cow Green car park - a remote and wild landscape - nature at her best for me! ![]() The water flows over the surface of the rocks in Red Sike on its way to Cow Green. ![]() High Force is the well known waterfall on the upper Tees. This is not a particularly good photograph - the light was wrong and the flow low - I hope for better things in the future! ![]() Patience can be a virtue when driving home - these woolly natives did not want to leave the road whatever I did! |
